"Meraki" is an ancient Greek word that means "to put something of yourself or your spirit into what do or create." It is with this idea that we create--art of all kinds, healing, and the development of our intuition.

This is a fund-raising event that supports the many programs and events of the Emerald Art Center including our gallery in downtown Springfield, national juried art and photography shows, our Youth Arts program mentoring young artists, a place for our members to display and sell their work, and number of special events throughout the year.

Admission to the Meraki Fair is free to the general public. We encourage attendees to bring a non-food grocery item for distribution through Occupy Eugene which provides health care and needed supplies to low-income and homeless citizens.
